

She was born October 14, 1940, in New York City, New York, daughter of the late Evilio and Amalia Diaz.
Alice worked at Atlas Sheet Metal in South Florida for over 20 years. When Alice and Gene moved to Valrico, Florida, she worked at Jim Walter Homes and H&R Block. Her favorite hobbies included jewelry making, computers, word searches, making the most heartfelt ugly clothes for her granddaughters, yelling at her husband, watching endless hours of HGTV and Lifetime Christmas movies all year, and spoiling her nearest and dearest as much as she possibly could, however she could.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia Grande.
She is survived by husband, Gene Grant of Valrico, Florida; one daughter, Brenda Sierra of Lake Park, Georgia; two granddaughters, Nicole and Sheena Sierra of Tampa, Florida; two great-grandchildren, Liam and Elijiah Scott, of Tampa, Florida; two brothers, Victor Diaz of Exeter, California; Vely Diaz (Glenda) of Cooper City, Florida; brother-in-law, Edward Grande, of Miami Lakes, Florida; one niece, Renell Filo (Ron), Davie, Florida; nephews, Gary Grande, of Delray, Florida, Franky and Shawn Diaz, of Exeter, California along with great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, Florida. Interment to follow at 1 p.m. in Florida National Cemetery, 6502 Southwest 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
