Mason, Alice “Alene”, 87, of Lakeland entered into rest on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. She was born on May 22, 1926 in Tampa, Florida to the late Bert James and Emma Rachel Grainger. Alene was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Ellis “Bud” Mason; daughter, Vivian Hand; brothers, Howard and Herman Grainger. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Smith and her husband, Gene Smith; grandson, Michael Durden and great-grandson, Trevor Durden. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 22 at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, Brandon. Alene will be deeply missed and forever loved.
