
Alicia Tineo Castro beloved wife, devoted mother, grandmother, Great grandmother, sister, aunt, and a true friend to all who knew her, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024 at the age of 91. Born on November 12, 1932, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, she led a life filled with love, resilience, and loyal commitment to her family.
Married to a military spouse, Angel Tineo, Alicia was the cornerstone of her family, supporting Angel throughout his 28 years of service and guiding her family with strength and grace through each move and deployment. Her unwavering support was a testament to her love and devotion to her family.
Together, Alicia and Angel raised seven children: Angel, Jose, Ivette, Edgardo, Maria, Ileana, and Adelise. She took immense pride in her role as a mother, instilling in each of her children the values of kindness, respect, and resilience. She demonstrated to them every day the importance of loyalty, and perseverance.
Beyond her family, She had a warm heart that extended to her other family members, and to her friends. Known for her sense of humor and her love for dancing, she was always willing to lend a helping hand. Alicia had a sense of humor; a quick wit that always kept everyone smiling. Her laughter, wisdom, and quiet strength touched many lives, Her sense of humor brought joy and lightness to even the toughest times. She took pride in her role as a mother, teaching her children not only the values of kindness and respect, but also the power of laughter. Her humor will become cherished memories. She will be profoundly missed.
Alicia is survived by her seven children, twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren. Though she has left us, her legacy lives on through the love and lessons she shared with each of us.
A celebration of Alicia’s life will be held on November 20, 2024 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 W Brandon Blvd., Brandon, FL 33511 from 2:00-5:00pm.
