Amalia Talavera

She is survived by four children, Deborah Craig, Edward Hoenes Jr (Penny), Paul Hoenes Sr (April), and Christopher Talavera Sr. She is preceded in death by her lifelong partner Edward Hoenes Sr and her daughter Cynthia Sexton.

She had 9 grandchildren, Ryan, Tiffany, Christian, Paul Jr., Nathaniel, Alyssa, Christopher Jr., Journey and Graysen. She was blessed to also have 6 great grandchildren, Aliyah, Milliana, Christian Jr, Caidence, Amaleia and preceded in death by Kaysen.

Amalia was known for adoring her family, had an “open door” policy, and she showed her love through her cooking. She always had a plate for you and loved to receive special requests for her Spanish dishes. She took great pride in her family roots, passing down cherished recipes. She made it her priority to keep in touch with everyone and wanted to be sure everyone was happy and healthy and encouraging words and sincere prayers were always spoken for those she loved.

A visitation for Amalia will be held on Friday, July 10th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 W. Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 pm. Graveside service will follow immediately at Limona Cemetery, 1698 Limona Rd, Brandon, FL 33510.
