Antonia Ranger’s was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico where she grew up and in her 20’s moved to Juarez, Mexico to work. There is where she met her beloved husband Donald Ranger. They were married in 1955. He was Air Force retired after 20 years. When he retired from the Air Force, the family moved to Brandon, Florida. Donald Ranger worked for the U.S. Post Office where he had a second retirement after 20 years. Antonia was widowed in 1998.
Antonia Ranger was known as Toni by all her friends and family.
Her first daughter is Katy Jensen and her son-in-law is Tim Jensen. Her second born daughter is Francisca Richmond. Toni’s grandchildren are Jason Fromm, David Richmond, and Daniel Richmond. Toni has one brother, Juan Esparza.
Toni loved reading and her favorite book was the Holy Bible. She was an avid gardener and had a successful gardening business out of her home.
She was also a professional seamstress and could sew anything from curtains for a home, a wedding dress for a bride or wrestling costumes for wrestlers.
She loved cooking and always enjoyed putting on dinner parties and inviting her friends, family and neighbors over for a meal.
Toni especially loved music. She sang in her church choir at Nativity Catholic Church for 40 years. She learned how to play the piano so that she could read music and practice songs. She also offered her time to the church by volunteering in the Altar Society and the Food Pantry ministries. She offered her gift of sewing to the church clergy by mending their vestments at no charge.
One of her most memorable accomplishments was when she became an American citizen at the age of 40. She was very proud to be an American and loved American history.
Toni was a passionate person. She was not afraid of anything and many people would often comment that she had a strong disposition.
She will be missed and the void of not having her around felt by her family. She was and is still loved.
