Arthur Jan Powers

Art was born on January 14, 1948, to George and Esther Powers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduating from high school in Lagrange Illinois, he went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force from 1966-1970.

After an honorable discharge, Art went on to graduate from Hillsborough Community College and University of South Florida. During his life Art was passionate about motorcycles, amateur radio and was a devoted Christian.

Art met his wife Phyllis in 1969 and they wed in the same year, going on to have two children, Amanda Christine Bowden and Joseph Scott Powers.

Art was predeceased by his father and mother, George and Esther, brother George (Skip) and sister Pauline. He is survived by sisters Janet and Patricia, his wife of fifty-three years Phyllis Powers, daughter Amanda Bowden (Jay) and son Joseph Powers (Laura). Art had 5 grandchildren, Alex, Keaton, Spencer, Mariah and Joseph, and 4 great-grandchildren, Audrey, Olivia, Brayden and Brianna.
