Barbara Ann McGinnis

Bobbie is survived by her husband Robert, her sisters Patricia (Jim) Ziegler, Jackie (Tom) Riley and several nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her son Sean, her parents SSG James and Irene Bryceland and her sister Georgina.

Bobbie was born in Spartanburg, SC on September 4, 1943. She traveled with her parents throughout the United States, Japan, and Europe. She graduated from Frankfurt American High School in 1961. Bobbie and Bob were married in Munich, Germany in 1964. She worked as a librarian in Munich and Frankfurt Germany, as teacher in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Savannah, Georgia and as medical technician in several medical facilities throughout the US.

Bobbie supported several charities and volunteer organizations. She loved working with children. She was member of Nativity Catholic Church and for several years was in charge of the First Aid Station during the Church’s annual Festival.

A gathering of friends and family for Bobbie will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 11:00AM to 12 PM and with the Memorial Service to follow at 12:00. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St Joseph Indian School, 1301 N. Main St, Chamberlain, SD.
