

Barbara is predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years Bernard Rosen, her daughter Shelley Rosen, brother, Leon Schwartz, and adored parents, Sam and Anna Schwartz.
Barbara is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter Marlene Daks (Peter), granddaughters Jennifer Lee and Carolyn White, great grandchildren, Johnathan Caplan, Samantha White, Brady White and Elizabeth White, her cousins Rhoda and Fran, Sobel and Ruth Goldwyn.
Barbara was born in New York City and brought up in Brooklyn, New York where she met Bernie and they married in 1945.
They moved from Brooklyn to the first Levitt Houses offered on Long Island. They then moved and brought up their family in Island Park, New York until Bernie retired from the NYPD after 20 years.
Her greatest loves were seeing her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Barbara was an accomplished Gardner especially of roses. She also loved and rescued her many doggie children over the years.
She had a passion for music and was Frank Sinatra’s #1 fan. She worked for RCA music in New York City before having her children.
Barbara will be most remembered for her great sense of humor, creativity and her love for life.
