He leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years Paula and their three children; Douglas, David (Brittany), Jennifer and his grandson Wesley. He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard Sr. and Zora Cole.
Bernie was a Navy veteran serving in the Vietnam war. He worked as a Detention Deputy for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office from 1986-2005. He enjoyed watching all the local sports teams play and being with his family.
Honoring his wishes no services will be held.
