SCHROEPPEL, Beulah “Boots”, age 96, passed away at Concordia/John Knox Village in Tampa on September 18, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband of almost 64 years, Ernest “Ernie” (2004); her son-in-law, Peter M. Spencer (2009); and her son, Thomas Schroeppel (2016).
Boots was born in Clinton, Indiana and moved to Tampa with her family in 1954. She was a homemaker who was known for her chocolate chip cookies and sweet tea. Boots was the family and neighborhood photographer and over the years crocheted and gave away over 144 afghans. Mom and Dad were the “adoptive” grandparents to untold numbers and were regular players at Seminole Indian Bingo.
The family would like to thank everyone at Concordia/John Knox Village for the excellent care Mom received during her 13 years as a resident.
Survivors include her children, Beverly Spencer, Charles Schroeppel (Kaye) and Kathy Schroeppel; grandchildren, Shari Dawson (Mike), Jeffrey Spencer (Christie Safos) and Courtney Morgan (Jay); great-grandchildren, Rachael and Kirstin Dawson and Kathryn and Patric Morgan.
Mom will be missed by many but we will always remember her sweet smile, warm hugs and kind words.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
