BROCK, Blanchard M., 85, of Valrico, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Brandon Regional Hospital. Born in Kane, Pennsylvania to Earl and Blanche Brock, he lived most of his life in Rochester, New York before retiring to the Tampa Florida area. Brock is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Joanne as well as daughters, Linda May (Brian) and Nancy “DJ” Thornton (Jon), four grandchildren, Melissa and Kevin May, and Matthew and Katie Thornton and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Earla and son David. Brock was retired from Eastman Kodak and had various interest throughout his life including slot cars, NASCAR racing, computers, PT Cruiser Club, garage sales and cooking. He enjoyed meeting with his Rochester friends for Friday lunches and, more recently, with his Florida buddies at Hardees for breakfast every morning. His quick wit, humorous e-mails and steadfast friendship will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
