I have pretty muck known Brenda all my life. Her family was extremely close to my cousin Carol Werneck Carter’s family and lived next door to my cousin and family in Bloomfield, Missouri. We reconnected at my uncles funeral and have stayed in contact ever since. I remember her being chosen as Miss Cotton Carnival and was so proud and excited. Your family is in my prayers for peace and comfort. May you all feel God’s love and presence.

My sincere condolences,
Linda Werneck Stroman

I was a neighbor and best friend of Carol Jane Werneck, so every time Brenda and her family would come to Sikeston, we would play together. She was always sweet and fun to play with. I vividly remember when Carol Jane told me that Brenda won Miss Cotton Carnival. Oh my goodness, we were so very happy! Of course, Brenda and I have been Facebook friends, and I have celebrated her life with her the last several years. I'm so happy I have been able to do this. I could tell that her personality had not changed from when she was a child…sweet, pretty, happy, friendly. She was so proud of her family and enjoyed every moment she had with them. I cannot begin to imagine how devastated you all are with this sudden death. My heart breaks with yours. I'm praying that God gives you the peace that passes all understanding.

Condolences ,

I am so sorry for your loss! I babysat Amy and Emily in the 80’s in San Angelo. They were one of my favorite families. The girls were adorable. Brenda was so kind & I thought so beautiful. She kept an impeccable home and I thought a beautiful mother. I remember her fondly. RIP Mrs.Johnson.

My heart breaks to hear that Brenda has passed. We first met when Ron & I transferred to San Angelo. She and Phil along with Dave & Sue made us feel at home right away. We had a great time together the year we were there. I was fortunate to see Brenda when our Grandsons played each other in high school baseball. She was so proud of her family. I send my hugs and prayers to everyone. Sad that the memorial is too far away from me. I know Brenda’s beautiful personality will be missed. Sad we didn’t get together to reminisce.
