Camelia Oberting, better known as Cam, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 12, 2023, in her home in Seffner, Florida. Born June 2, 1931, in Tampa, Florida. She is preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life Leo Sr., her brother Edgar Giles and son-in-law Mark Kibblehouse. She is survived by her children Leo Jr. (Linda), Dena James, Victor (Jennifer), Richard (Patricia) and Marie Kibblehouse. Also survived by her sister Diane Mann and sister-in-law Patsy Giles. She was loved by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Camelia was a homemaker, environmental activist, and gardener. She was President of the Taylor Road Civic Association for many years along with serving on multiple other environmental organizations. Cam received numerous honorable awards for her dedication to the community.
A funeral will take place at 2:00 August 22, 2023 with visitation one hour prior, at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home 2323 W. Brandon Boulevard, Brandon, Florida 33511. Private burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to LifePath Hospice.
