Carol Ann Scarcelli, 71, of Brandon, Florida went peacefully home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 7, 2020. She was born in East Chicago, Indiana to the late Max and Hazel Soverly. God and Family came first in Carol’s life. She accepted Jesus into her heart at the age of 4. She loved to sing in the church choir. In her younger years, she and her late husband Fred were youth leaders. Church was always a part of their lives. They met in church and raised their family in church.
Carol and Fred moved their family to Florida in 1983, where they became owner Operators of McDonald’s restaurants, retiring in 2012.
She loved having big family gatherings for every holiday and birthday. Having her kids and grandkids over on Christmas Eve and going to Christmas Eve service was her favorite tradition.
Carol also loved animals. She rescued over 350 dogs by finding them forever homes.
Her and her husband Fred bought a cabin in 1999 in Maggie Valley, NC and spent many years travelling there and sharing it with others to enjoy.
She enjoyed eating out at restaurants with her friends and after church on Sunday with her son James and three grandkids.
She is survived by her four children, Fred Scarcelli III (Alicia), Natalie McNatt (Kelly),
Rochelle Walker (Eric) and James Scarcelli (Carmen).
Grandchildren; Ethan & Jillian Scarcelli, Sean & Erin McNatt, David & Riley Walker, and Codey, Sydney, and Chase Scarcelli.
Carol now joins in Heaven her beloved husband, Fred. The family will accept guests to pay their respects and have lunch, from 11am to 2pm on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral home, 2323 W. Brandon Blvd. Brandon, FL 33511.
