Carolyn Ann Blanton

She graduated from Brandon night school in 1973, while working and raising her kids. She drove a school bus for Hillsborough County for 20 years, and eventually parked her bus and opened her own hair parlor at her home on Seffner, Florida.

Carolyn Blanton, known and loved by her family as “Gran” never quit working and growing her life. She and her husband Reggie Blanton, Papaw, traveled all over the world before settling in Bushnell Florida in 2001. Together they build their home and farm, which they worked themselves for 10 years.

Though she departed her human life on Monday February 20, 2023 at her Bushnell, Florida home, her life and influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her sons, David Hildreth, Reginald Blanton Jr; as well as her siblings, Jerry, Robert, Nick, WC, Jessi, and Jean Ballard.

Her sweet life will forever be held close and cherished in the lives of her family that will see her again; Her husband, Reggie Blanton Sr, Her children: Lynn, Jack, Steve, and Sandy, as well as 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great great-grandchildren.

She is survived by many more friends and family who we invite to her visitation on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 1:00pm until the funeral service at 2:00pm, Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, Florida 33511.
