Charles graduated from Brandon Senior High School in 1980. Following High School, he attended Strayer University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in accounting. Charles served proudly in the United States Coast Guard. Locally he worked as a supervisor for Progressive for the past twenty years.
In his free time, Charles enjoyed golf, bowling, family vacations, playing cards, music and Mexican food.
He is survived by his children, Tiffany Morey, Brandi Welch; brother, Greg Welch; grandchild, Aurora Rose Durfee; spouse, Cindy Welch; many extended family members and friends.
A gathering will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life at 12:30, Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home 2323 W. Brandon Blvd. Brandon, Florida 33511. Interment will follow with military honors in the cemetery gardens.
