I’ve tried many times to write the words, but it just does not want to come out.

The last time we talked, I wish I would have known. I would have kept you on the phone to talk a little more, to say I love you one more time, or to tease you again like big sisters do.

The last time I saw you, I wish I would have known. I would have hugged you more, listen closer to your voice, or taken a sister selfie.

There were once 3 sisters. Sister #1 stayed for only a short time and sister #3 stayed a little longer, but also had to go. So you both wait for me and one day we’ll be together again, laughing and playing like sisters do.

You earned your wings, dear sister, now you’ll always be my angel.

Chay was an Earth Angel. Her sweet, quiet spirit spoke volumes to those who were lucky enough to know & love her. Though it goes without saying that she will be missed dearly, I can't help but to smile knowing that she is now free from all the ailments that plagued her for so much of her short life. Through all her trials & troubles, Chay never once complained or condemned God for her predicament. She knew that Heavenly Father loved her and was mindful of her struggles and He blessed her with a tremendous amount of strength so few of us could ever fathom. Her shining example of unwavering faith is something that I will always carry with me. She was surrounded by love while on Earth, and is, no doubt, surrounded by love in Paradise. Until we meet again, sweet Chay! I love you!

Chay and I used to love going window shopping at the local mall. We really liked going to the fancy dress shops and trying them on. One time, the shop didn't have a dress her size that she liked, so we got a coupon. Another time, we went window shopping at home depot. That was a lot of fun. Yet another time, she caught me admiring a fancy necklace, and she bought it for me for Christmas. She also spent $70 at Build-a-Bear for my birthday.

I remember when I was living in Price, UT, she once surprised me by visiting. It was so good to see her, and we went window shopping again like we used to. We also watched some of the anime, Tsubasa.

That same year, for Christmas, I bought her the DVD box set of Clannad, a show about a girl who reminded me of Chay. That show became something very special for us.

Chay was such a special person. My life won't be the same with her.

Chay and I often went to the mall together to look around or find new books. During those trips, we had amazing conversations about the shows we liked, new games we were interested in playing, and art. We also talked about spiritual stuff and I know Chay had a powerful testimony of the things she knew to be true.

I cherished our friendship and miss her deeply.

Chay was a very good friend to me. I enjoyed the time that we got to spend together. Chay had such a sweet smile and was so funny!
I loved to be around her. She had a kind spirit who always cared about those around her. She will be missed.
