Chester Bunkley Weil, 79, born June 1, 1937 in Tampa, Florida, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016. He had fought a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s for 9 years and had been in a nursing home for 5 years.
Chester graduated from Plant High School in 1955 and Emory University in 1959. He was an accountant with Anheuser Busch, and helped open the brewery in Columbus, Ohio in 1968.He is a Past Master of Blendon Lodge # 339 in Westerville, Ohio, and a Past Patron by affiliation of Plant City Chapter #81, Order of the Eastern Star.
Chester is survived by Dorothy Hendrix Weil, his wife of 50 years, three children, Brian Weil, Melanie Van Schaick, and Emily Jordan, two grandsons, Ryan Van Schaick, and Christopher Jordan. He was preceded in death by his parents Chester Weil, Jr. and Armee Bunkley Weil.
Visitation will be held at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 W. Brandon Blvd., Brandon, FL 33511 from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Burial will be at Myrtle Hill Cemetery at 9:30 am on Thursday, September 1, 2016, with a celebration of life to follow at New Hope United Methodist Church, 120 Knights Avenue, Brandon. FL.
