Christopher Wentler Kruining

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wynand and Catherine Kruining; and his brother, Henk Kruining. He is survived by his sisters, Catherine Kruining-Gunter, Suzanne Gerstner; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Parisi, Theodore Gunter, Benjamin Gerstner, Edward Gerstner, Jennifer Gunter, Christopher Gunter, Catherine Thrasher, Dalena Kruining, Katie Kruining, Roland Kruining; five great-nieces and nephews, Lauren, Aiden, Madison, Hunter, Brennan, and Lilly. He also has Aunts, Uncles, and cousins in both Delaware, Pennsylvania and in the Netherlands.

Christopher graduated in 1979 at Wagner HS in the Philippines where he was a star Football player and officiant of youth sports. Upon return to the United States his first job was at Kerby’s Nursery in Brandon. He went on to work for the Hillsborough County Parks, and then to the Public Utilities Water Department of Hillsborough County, where he retired in 2013 with over 25 years of service.

Chris was an Avid science fiction, Xbox gamer, anime, and LOTR fan. as well as master at Dungeons and Dragons, where he enjoyed being the Dungeon Master and taking players on adventures of epic proportions. He had implements engraved “C.W. Kruining – The Killer DM, Player Characters Beware!”

He will be missed by his family, friends, and all who shared his interests.
