Olson, Claire W., 85, of Brandon passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2013. He was born on February 26, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Palmer and Inez Olson. Claire retired from the United States Air Force. He was an alumnus of University of Southern Mississippi. He was a member of the Joy Group and Choir at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church of Brandon. Claire enjoyed playing the piano and loved to sing. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Rita M. Olson; son, Steve Olson (Karen); daughters, Valerie Mikorski (Phil Grooms), Venita Olson-Demakis (Drew) and Vicki Olson; brothers, Donald Olson and Ken Olson; grandchildren, Kyle Kepner, Matthew Olson, Michelle Olson, Tony Mondor (Kristin), Tracy Wayne (Jeremy), Michael Mikorski, and Evan Bullock; great-grandchildren, Brandon Wayne and Gavin Mondor and friends. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 14 at 2 PM with family receiving friends from 1-2 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
