Well, Crosby has now crossed over to be with Jesus and Nieves. Martha and I   
visited Crosby & Nieves the week after they visited Limona Village UMC as they had moved to Brandon at retirement.That was the start of a long friendship. Two itemsI would like to share: 1. After a lay witness mission, the visitors had left a book with Crosby. He read it and walked up to Martha at church and said here ,"read this". That book changed our lives, that book was Nine O'clock in the Morning by Dennis  Bennett !!!!!!  2. In 2002 Martha had surgery for a brain toumor and after surgery in ICU, Crosby came to visit her, she had told me that morning that she was depressed and felt that the room was full of deamons. When I arrived back after work, she was a different person, looked different and said, Crosby had taken the name of Jesus, His Blood and chased the deamons out of the room and all was well.

He was a good man. I learned a valuable life lesson from him. When his wife's car was stolen, the car was not his first concern. His concern was the souls of the teenage culprits. I think of this conversation alot. I learned an important lesson about being a Christian man from him. Heaven has a great angel.

"Very fine,Thank you", was his reply to me when I greeted Crosby at church.
I last saw him two weeks ago and I am glad that I did.I have never met a more
kind and gentleman as he.He has stopped and prayed for me,if I needed it.
There are not enough words to describe him.He walked the talk! We will miss him.To me a great CHRISTIAN man.

We will miss you Mr.Bodden, you were the best neighbor anyone could have asked for. You and Mrs.Bodden will always have a special place in our hearts.

BODDEN, Crosby W., 88, of Brandon passed away March 19, 2016. Crosby was God's servant who dearly loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Crosby was an active member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church for over 20 years and along with his late wife, Nieves, ministered to the residents of nursing homes. Crosby guided, influenced, and blessed the lives of his children and grandchildren, as well as community members. He also served in the Air Force for over 20 years. Crosby is survived by his daughter, Rosina Bodden; sons, Lindsey D. Bodden and Halon "Woody" Bodden; six grandchildren, Matthew, Richard, Stephen, Grace, Zachary, and Hannah.
