Beach day with  David for my  21st Birthday. Love and will miss  you always

The "out of this world" adventures we experienced together and in our group of friends is beyond anything I thought was ever possible.  I feel you on the other side.  May you watch over us and guide us from your enlightened vantage point.

When we met at work I knew we would click. Many times we were each other’s back bone through personal times. You helped me bloom into my independence and I will always appreciate you for that. When I had my car accident you were there. I never had a friend as caring as you. My last hug was at the airport when I dropped you off to head back home and start a new adventure. Now you’ve been sent home to watch over us all. You will always be in my heart and memory. Love you in all so many ways.

I still see your presence in the gifts you left behind. You left your mark not only here but on the lives of everyone lucky enough to know you. You were truly a light in this world, gentle and radiant. I wish we had more time. I wish I had answered that last call. Awww my my heart 💔  He was born on my birthday. When he and his little sister Terilynn were little I used to babysit them he was very quiet and never gave me any trouble.You will hold a special place in my heart David until we meet again save a spot for me buddy rest in paradise 🙏🙏🙏

I only met David once while home for a visit, but we connected deeply and shared a wonderful afternoon discussing books, life stories and plans for the future. We've stayed in contact ever since. My heart breaks to hear this and my love goes to his family. His light shined so brightly, what a special soul.

David, Rachel mentioned the last time the three of us were all together.  It was late at night and while we sat next to each other on my living room floor, heat lightning danced across the sky.  The view from 12 stories up was breathtaking. I remember feeling a lot of love and connection on that night—as if the electricity moved through us the same as it moved through the sky.  I tried to recreate a bit of that lightning here.  I will remember you always.

From the moment we met in Middle School I knew your heart was kind. You had so much love and compassion for your friends and family. You truly could light up a room with your smile and laughter. I know we haven't seen each other in a while but I know your heart never changed.

Thank you for driving five hours to celebrate my wedding with me.  You made sure to tell me what an honor it was to be there, but I felt just as honored that you would travel so far to be there for me. That was the type of friend you were—humble beyond words, grateful, and present.

David, where do I even begin?

It’s hard to put into words the kind of person you were and the place you held in my life. As funny and crazy as it may sound, you were my very first boyfriend, before we even understood what that really meant. But in reality you were my best friend.

You were a light during one of the darkest times in my life. You helped me escape the chaos I grew up in and reminded me that I was worthy, that I was special, and that I could become something more. You believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself.

No matter what kind of day you were having, you always had this way of putting me at ease. Your presence, your humor, your heart, it all meant so much more than I ever told you.

You will always hold a special place in my heart, David. I’ll carry your memory with me, always.
