BAILEY, DeForrest Wayne, 89, of St. Petersburg, FL, went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2019. Son; Richard (Susan) Bailey – Seffner, Florida, Grandchild; Valerie (Nathan) Morales & Great-Grandchildren; Mason & Gavin, Grandchild; Jeffrey (Sarah) Bailey & Great-Grandchildren Hannah & Juliet. Daughter; Becky (Bill) Ferguson – Newport News, Virginia, Grandchild; Matthew (Amber) Ferguson & Great-Grandchildren; Maci, Molli & Madi, Grandchild; Jason (Noemi) Ferguson & Great-Grandchild; Elsie, Grandchild; Jeremy (Erin) Ferguson. DeForrest was a business executive in the fabrication and manufacturing industries for many years in the Georgia and Florida areas. He and Barbara were avid horse lovers and showed Paso Fino’s in many different arenas in Florida. He and his favorite horse, Stormy, were called on quite frequently to present the colors and represent at many different events in the Tampa Bay area. After retiring from the business and show horse world, he joined Barbara in the Real Estate business and enjoyed sharing the day with her until they both retired in 2018. DeForrest loved his family and was always interested in their lives. He would remember where he left off in conversation with you each time he would see you next. He always left you with a word of encouragement. He was proud of all his children and spending time at family gatherings is what he enjoyed the most. DeForrest loved watching old westerns, enjoyed the golf channel and was a big Tiger Woods fan.
Our family is so thankful for all those that reached out to us during this time with special thoughts and prayers. We would also like to thank the staff at Bayfront Health and Hospice, St. Petersburg. ~DeForrest Wayne Bailey~ Rest in Peace
