

Dennis was born April 18, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan. He attended school at Transfiguration School, Saint Ladislaus High School, and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business from Detroit College of Business.
Dennis is survived by his beloved and best friend of over 35 years, Laura Beer. He is also survived by dearest daughters Sarah (Scott) Eicholtz, Sheila Sobocinski (Ed Musico); and precious grandson Logan Thomas Musico. Additional surviving family includes cherished brother Matthew (June) Sobocinski; Ronald (Judy) Sobocinski, and Carolyn Sobocinski. Dennis is predeceased by brothers Adam (Elizabeth) Sobocinski and Michael Sobocinski and his parents, Adam and Lillian Sobocinski. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces including Matthew (Beth), Joseph (Jenna), Jason, Anthony (Lindsay), David (Cheryl), Greg, Adam, and Jeff, Karen (Samir), Lynn (Bob), Kellie (David), Karrie, Lisa, and Deanna; grand nephews and nieces Benjamin, Sami, Gabe, Eli, Isaiah, Sebastian, Chris; Avery, Lauren, Natalie, Jenna; cousins, including Betty (John) Beard, Marilyn (Reford) Nash, and Auntie Jane Konkol, and many friends. He will be especially missed by his loving dogs, Angie and Kaylie. Dennis will be greatly missed.
Dennis worked at the original Buddy's Pizza in Detroit before joining the U.S. Army and serving in Korea; he then worked at Sander's Candy in Detroit. He later retired from Mercy Health Services (now Trinity Health) in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Dennis loved his daughters, grandson, and his family and always looked forward to their conversations and visits. He loved sports--especially University of Michigan Wolverines college football and basketball. He also loved Detroit Tigers baseball and spring training baseball games. Dennis and Laura attended spring training baseball games in Florida and Arizona for almost twenty-five years. Dennis enjoyed college basketball (March Madness), pro football (Detroit Lions), pro basketball (Detroit Pistons), and professional tennis. Dennis and Laura went to many tennis tournaments and sporting events across the country. He loved travel, music, exercise, and movies. In 2019, he and Laura went to Cuba and the Bahamas; Rome, Florence, and Venice, Italy; and Atlanta, Georgia. He especially loved the home that he and Laura had built and retired to in Wimauma, Florida in 2015.
At Dennis’s wishes, there will not be a service. Cremation will be private. Anyone wishing to make a memorial gift may make a donation in his name to the Last Day Dog Rescue (lastdaydogrescue.org) or the Michigan Humane Society (michiganhumane.org)
