I’d like to thank everyone for coming together to celebrate the life of Desiree Watson. It’s never easy to say goodbye to someone who has been a part of our lives. When that person is gone, there’s a hole where Desi used to be in your life. That’s what many of us are feeling today.
Some of you knew Desi better than others, but you’re here because she had an impact on your life, and you want to honor that. And because she did affect you in some way, it’s not going to be easy to say goodbye.
At such a difficult time, it’s important to remember the good memories we all have of Desi. By holding on to those memories, we can focus on the good times we had together, and help each other find comfort in this difficult time.
Desi was born March 11, 1955 to Ms Susie Suggs and Mr Clifford Defaut
When she was a baby it was discovered that she had Diabetes. As a diabetic in those days there wasn’t much that could be done. As a young child she was sent to a camp where she learned to give herself shots and test herself. And she grew to have a great childhood.
She went to school to become a dental assistant. A career she enjoyed for over 30 years.
Later in life she met Mr John Watson and they were married on July 11, 2005. They spent 16 wonder and loving years together. Having been an only child she loved marrying into a large family and enjoyed all the children and grandchildren.
Your life was a blessing , your memory a treasure you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
