

Donald is survived by his wife Leticia Thompson, children Anita Spivey, Matthew Thompson, and Jeannie Thompson-Pirez, sister Joanne Caldwell and brother James Thompson, his five grandchildren, and his five great children.
Donald was born on July 18, 1938 in Plainwell, Michigan to Ethelyn and Harry Thompson. He served in the United States Air Force, retiring after 23 years of honorable service. He served two tours in the Vietnam War. During this time he met, married and raised a family with Leticia for 60 years.
Donald was accomplished in civil engineering. He was a kind, gentle individual who loved to work on his home and who was passionate about his family.
Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home 2323 W Brandon Blvd., Brandon, FL 33511, with a funeral service beginning at 12pm with a reception to follow at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home.
