Doris achieved prominent status in the business world as a well respected real estate Broker in the town of Brandon, Florida since 1976 and kept her license active to the day of her death. She absolutely loved the business and fostered many friends that carry fond memories of her ethics and kindness.
Doris loved music, especially the opera and particularly Aida by Verdi. The waltzes by Strauss could be played 24 hours a day if left up to her. She was blessed with a beautiful coloratura soprano voice and entertained when given the opportunity. With such talent she was a great find for any church choir and found a home in the First Presbyterian Church of Tampa. She also enjoyed interior decorating, sewing, gardening, square dancing and lunch with her friends.
Doris was born in Lincoln, Illinois on September 23, 1924, the daughter of Harry Schoth and Esther Pearl Campbell (Schoth). She is preceded in death by these parents, her husband Arthur B. Chesler, a daughter who died in infancy, two brothers and a sister. Elizabeth Snyder is her only surviving sibling. Surviving children include: Judith Carol (Aughenbaugh) Wallace of Columbus, Georgia; Rodney Eugene Banks of Brandon, Florida and Paula Sue (Aughenbaugh) Nelson of Melbourne, Arkansas. She leaves six grand children, eleven great grand children and numerous nieces and nephews who adored her presence.
