In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William P. Allman, Sr. and her brother Norman R. Plyer. Survivors include her son, William P. Allman, Jr., Barbara A. Ennis, Kelly A. Nettles, Claire A. Johnson, their spouses, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her two beloved sisters, Beverly P. Jayroe and Nancy H. Sullivan. Dot was a devoted wife to Bill for 44 years until his passing in 1995. Together they raised four wonderful children. In 2012 Dot moved to Griffin, Georgia to begin a new chapter in her life. She joined Open Range Church a few years ago, thus strengthening her relationship with the Lord.
Everyone will miss Mama Dot's muffins and cakes on Wednesday nights.
Dot will always be remembered for her love of family and friends, gospel music, coffee and refrigerator magnets. Let her memory put a smile on your face, rather than a tear in your eye.
A celebration of life service will be held on November 9th, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Wood Creek, 815 Wood Creek Road, Williamson, Georgia 30292.
Please join us in celebrating this woman we hold so dear to our heart.
