Dorothy J Caldwell

CALDWELL, Dorothy H., R.N., 89, of Brandon, Florida passed away May 3, 2011. She was a World War II veteran who enlisted in the U.S. Army in November 1944. She received the American Theater Ribbon and Victory Medal serving as a First Lieutenant General Duty Nurse. In the army she met her husband of over 50 years, Donald Caldwell, who preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her sons, Bruce and Vincent Caldwell. She is survived by her son, Donald Caldwell (Liz); daughters, Susan M. Caldwell and Kathleen Borysewicz (Paul); daughter-in-law Christy Caldwell; grandson, Matthew Caldwell (Sarah) and great-granddaughter, Madeline Issa Caldwell. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., today, Friday, May 6, 2011 at Stowers Funeral Home. Mrs. Caldwell will be interred with her husband in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
