Dorothy Norris

NORRIS, DOROTHY B. (DOT) 94, Brandon, went home to be with the Lord on March 3. Dot was raised in AL and GA, and at 17, met the love of her life; 4 weeks later, she married US Navy sailor James A. Norris. They remained together for the next 63 years, settling in Brandon in 1962, and raising 2 children. Dot loved sewing, cooking, baking, tending her flowers, and taking care of her family and church. Together, Dot & Jim were devoted parents to Jeffrey and Sabrena, and were dedicated to serving Faith Baptist Church for many years.

Dot is pre-deceased by her Jim, and survived by son, Jeffrey Norris; 3 beloved grandchildren, Kelsey, Joshua and Zachary Norris; daughter, Sabrena Norris and her husband Richard Delaney, niece Paula Jones, nephew Tommy Bullock, great-nephew Philip Witt and her longtime caregiver and friend Grace Crawford. Visitation will be 3/16, 10A at Faith Baptist Church of Seffner, followed immediately by the funeral service at 11A. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be sent to Faith Baptist Church of Seffner, 603 Faithway Drive, Seffner, FL 33584 or to Disabled American Veterans, and flowers are welcome.
