Douglas Robert Brownell

BROWNELL, Douglas R., 79, of Brandon went home to be with the Lord on June 18, 2016. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather that loved being with his family and dedicated his life to taking care of them. A servant of the Lord, he was a member of Providence Baptist Church since 1977 where he faithfully served in many capacities, always putting others before himself.

He is survived by his beloved wife Peggy of 52 years, his son’s; David, Dwayne, Daniel and Darryl, his brothers; Daniel Brownell, and Richard Austin and his sister Louise Anderson.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, 3:00 pm on June 23, 2016 at Providence Baptist Church in Riverview. A visitation will take place one hour prior. Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
