Just remembering our dive trips to Tobemory, Canada and Mexico. A man that had great patience teaching the Scuba students.  Gone but not forgotten. Miss you Doug.

I want to thank everyone for their heart felt messages, and God bless all of you!  I will miss him!  He was a wonderful husband and father!

Dear Bonnie,Kathy, Nancy and families,
     You already know we love you all. 
     Doug has been a dear friend for so many years.He has always been there in times of need with never ending support and encouragement.He has also been there in times of family fun and celebrations, always generous with, not only his time, but with his talent and love for his music,his care and concern for everyone he knew.
    Doug will be greatly missed,but will live on in fond memories and in our hearts always. 
     Bonnie, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

It's hard to imagine that my godfather isn't with us anymore. It breaks my heart, although I know he's in a better place. I'm going to miss going out to dinner to see him and going to visit him. He was always interested in my brother's and my life. He always had helpful input, interesting stories, and a way of putting a smile on our faces. I already miss him so much. Doug, we love you and you know we could never forget you.

I will miss my Pop-Pop from all the special events in my life but i always know he is watching after me. He is always with us even though he isnt physically there. He is in our hearts. It is hard to say good bye to someone when you were going to see him in a couple of weeks. But I am glad to say he is now happier then ever. He is in a good place. I cant imagine what hes doing. I love you Pop-Pop! You will be in my heart!

Bonnie ,Nancy,Kathy so sorry to here about Doug.  A great Guy ,Scuba Inst. Friend,Yes he will be missed but we know where he is. I'm sure he will find my Dad and they will talk. I will never forget the trip to Mexico What no dock no problem and the Wheelbarrel to get him to the boat to Scuba Dive. Always a smile easy going He had  the Patience of a saint when Teaching Scuba his Students had a great Inst. Thinking of you all.  JR

It is hard to put in words to say how you feel when someone who has been there your whole life is gone.  I know dad is in a better place watching over his family and friends like he always did just in a different way.  I miss him and love him and know that someday we will all be toghether. When someones been there your entire life and suddenly they are taken away from you it's hard to express how you feel. I know dad is in a better place and it was his time to go.  I know he is watching over all of his family and friends like he has always done just in a different way.  I will miss him greatly but he is always in my heart,thoughts and prayers. Bonnie, I am sorry for your loss.  Doug was a good man and always a pleasure to be around.  The two of you always made Freida and me feel welcome.  Will miss him much and his interest in music. It was easy to tell he enjoyed his music.

Oh Bonnie, I am so sad to hear this. You must know that I am aware of your pain and sorrow. I hope Doug is now running, skipping and jumping, while rejoicing to be back in his true home. The home from which we all came and all will return one day. I love you and Doug as did my sweet Diana. Who would have thought they would both pass so close together. you never realize how much some one means to you until they are no longer in your life, but i know you're in a better place now. I am so happy that I was able to spend the time we did just a few weeks ago and I know that was a blessing that I am so grateful for. Bonnie, please accept my personal condolences for your loss, and those of Doug's St Johnsbury Academy classmates.  We loved meeting you and were all looking forward to Doug's return in his big RV to our 50th reunion in a few months.

Doug was a fixture here at Shady Brook R.V. in Florida.  He was our D.J., our Bingo caller, and a friendly man who was always quick with a smile and a hello.

It's difficult to say goodbye to someone when you are not ready. There are so many future moments I wish you could be here to see, as your oldest grandchild becomes an adult. Knowing that you have moved on to a better place eases the hurt but I will always miss you. I am grateful for the time we were able to spend together just weeks ago, God was surely looking over us. What do you say on the loss of a father? My dad was such a generous, brave, and caring person. He never stopped giving and showed courage even thorough the difficult times. He taught me what it meant to be a good person not just through his words but through how he lived his life. I am proud to say he was not just my father but my hero!!  Nothing will ever fill the void in my heart and life. I smile knowing he had a hard choice when he got to heaven whether to run first or to pick up a guitar :) I will always miss you dad but I know I will see you again someday - until then you live on in my heart.....
