 The first time I've met you was at Mom's house years ago. You had your arm around your young wife who was holding your little baby boy. Your hair was long and in curls. You looked so proud and so in love. From the first moment on I felt like I have known all of you all my life, I liked the three of you from the start and before you went back to Ohio I loved all of you.
That sparkle in your eyes, the love I saw in them so many years ago has always stayed, every time Tish or the children, and then JJ came within sight, your eyes lit up, and when you talked about them they sparked.  
You have always made everybody - anybody that you met, comfortable and welcome, even people who have wronged you in the past. You have never uttered a negative word about anybody. You just were Eddie, yourself, and accepted people as they were.
Your helpfulness was endless, People didn't have to ask you, you offered, and did, when others talked. Your caring and kindness went deep, was always heartfelt and honest, came straight from your soul. You have, just by being You, impacted all of us, taught us those lessons that can only be learned by seeing an example.
You were a loving, supportive, good husband, a soul mate to your Tishi. You adored your children, been so proud of them both, encouraged them in their decisions, supported them in their vision for their future. And little JJ stole your heart and took your breath away. The love that you had and showed to us all, whether it was family or friends from here, Kentucky or Ohio, was pure, honest, deep and shone through you like a light.
People like you are rare, not in our circle of family and friends, but overall in this world, and that makes it hard to understand what has just happened, makes it hard to breath, to stop crying.
I know Eddie, you don't want us to be sad or cry, and I keep hearing you whisper into my mind “don’t make such a fuzz", I'm alright", but Eddie we miss you so very much, and the pain in unbearable.
The only solace, the only comfort I can find right now is knowing that you are in Heaven, trying out your new wings, riding the wind, enjoying the weightlessness of flight, visiting so many of us. Trees around me are still, no blade of grass is moving and yet I feel a breeze in my face and I know it's you, and for a fraction of a moment I'm filled with peace.
Thank you for always being true, Thank God that we all were placed into each other’s lives, whether it be family or friends, and that we got to walk part of life’s path together.
