Obituary of Duelda Laverne Hujar

HUJAR, Duelda Laverne Stewart of Brandon, FL peacefully departed for the home of her Heavenly Father Friday, March 17, 2023. Duelda is now in the loving arms of her beloved husband John Hujar and son Richard Hujar. Duelda was born on December 26, 1924 in Caseville, MI to Wilared Stewart and Grace Willard. She, by the grace of God outlived her six siblings, Garnett Stewart, Gorden Stewart, Rita Anderson, Pauline Moore, Bernie Bailey, Richard Stewart, and one son Richard Hujar; Left to cherish her name are her remaining children, Dennis Hujar wife Robin Hujar of Valrico, FL , Jerry Hujar wife Roxanne Hujar of Seffner, FL; 4 grandchildren (John, Christine, Dillon, Kelly (Porfirio Flores), 3 great grandchildren (Caden, Maliki, and Eva), and many nieces and nephews in Michigan who have stayed close to her throughout the years. Duelda attended school in Caseville, MI and then went on to work in the factories support the WWII efforts. Duelda met and married the love of her life John Frank Hujar of Detroit, MI on December 15, 1952 and had three sons, Richard, Dennis and Jerry. Duelda and John where well known for their 17 years of owning and operating their own bakery in Detroit, MI until they relocated to Brandon, Florida. Duelda was an amazing, strong woman who raised her sons to follow in their footsteps of family first and then work. Duelda was known for her love of sewing, making all of her own clothes and attending sewing classes, become a lifelong student, and close friends to the other ladies in her weekly class. Duelda will be remembered by countless friends and family for her strength, beauty, strong work ethic, quick wit, and her incredible love for family. Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday March 26 from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm at the home of Dennis and Robin Hujar, 2605 Brucken Road, Valrico, FL 33594. The family would like to recognize publicly Chrissy Hujar and Clemmie London who lovingly cared for our mom, at home, around the clock for many years. It was, at times, a great sacrifice for them but they never let her, or us down. It was your love that kept her alive for so many years.
