Edith Mary Unsworth, (Gutierrez), was born February 12, 1935 in Tampa, Florida to Jaime Gutierrez and Blanca Lopez. Edith graduated from Thomas Jefferson Highschool in south Tampa. She began working as a switchboard operator for the telephone company after Highschool. She was married in 1958 to Harold Albert Unsworth jr. who preceded her in death. They bought their first and only house and had four children. Jaime Craig, Michelle, Rodney (deceased) and Rhonda Unsworth.
Edith is survived by Jaime Craig, Michelle, Rhonda and her grandson Christopher.
She loved her local Cuban restaurants, swinging on her outdoor swing, and watching her soap operas. Edith was a lovely, beautiful giving, woman remembered by her laugh, generosity, and care to others. She will always have a special place in everyone’s heart who knew her.
