Edward retired from the United States Air Force. Following his retirement with the Air Force went to work for the Hillsborough county school system as a mechanic.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl Yoakum, Carrie Reynolds, Betty Sessoms, Kimberly Corriveau; siblings, Larry Yoakum, Linda Sue Helsel; eleven grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; many extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Yoakum; siblings, Carl Yoakum, Jack Yoakum, Thelma Tillman, Ethel Sellman, Norma Pidcock, and Fannie Drummond.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 until the time of service at 12:00pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022, Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens. Interment will follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
