Elberta June Powell

Elberta June Powell died peacefully March 31, 2025, in Brandon, Fl. At the age of 85 years old.

She is survived by her three sons that she loved dearly, Charles F. Sanders Jr. (Debbie), Mark E. Sanders (Jeannie) and Michael D. Sanders (Tina); stepdaughter, Jennifer Powell, Stepson, Christopher Powell; sisters Joe Ann Willey, Shirley Jean Davis (Arthur) and special sister Brenda Roundtree.

She had nine grandchildren, Michelle Woodward (Chris), Kari Sanders (Kelly), Ashley Jones (Timmy), Tiffany Sanders (Raleigh), Audry Wright (Jerald), Nicole Gray (Dennis), Michael Sanders (Tonya), Tim Hernandez, Riley Waller, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Special nieces and nephew Kelly Davis, Kathy Koceja (Dean), Tracey Fannon (Paul), Debbie Thomas and Jeff Willey.

Predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. Powell, parents, Elbert M. and Carrie M. Brazzell. She was born February 29,1940 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She spent most of her life in Florida. She worked for Hillsborough County School Board. After her tenure with the school system, she started her own business as a nail technician. After retiring, she worked at the church food bank with her best friend, Brenda.

She loved traveling and the highlight of her life was her trip to Alaska. She was a woman that loved God and served him faithfully.
