Erna Wichmann

In the early morning hours on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 3:55 AM we lost our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother “Omi” Erna Wichmann, 84, of Wimauma. She was also a great Sister, Sister-in-law, Mother-in-law, Tante (Aunt) and Friend to all that knew her, at the same time God received a very special Angel to watch over all of us. Erna was a member of Destiny Church, Ruskin. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, bowling, cooking and made terrific Streuselkuchen. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 57 years, Ernst Paul Wichmann and sister, Alma McCumber. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughters, Angie Deary and her late husband, Paul and Regina Dexter and her husband Steve Sciuga; four sisters, Irma Klemm, Erika Joerke, Lotte Penno and her husband, George, Edith Smith; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 27, from 6-8 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 28 at 1 PM at Destiny Church, 2322 11th Avenue S.E., Ruskin 33570. Donations in Erna’s name may be sent to Destiny Church Missionary Fund, Ruskin. Erna will be deeply missed. Arrangements under the direction of Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon, FL.
