Evelyn M. Laga

Evelyn M. Laga (nee Hanlon), 93, of Sun City Center, FL, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026. Treasured wife of 72 years to the late Leonard Laga. Loving mother of Susan Zelek (Laga) and Rick Laga. Beloved sister of Margie Hinds and the late Betty Powers, Dorothy Vallone and Len Hanlon. Cherished grandmother of Jenny Zelek, Cathy Ezerski, Carrie Zelek, Michelle Pavese and Ricky Laga and great-grandmother of 11 grandchildren.

Evelyn was a force to be reckoned with and led her life with dignity and grace. She and her husband, Len, found a home in both Florida and Illinois. Her love for tennis was unmatched and could be seen on the courts and in her punny knickknacks adorning her kitchen. Evelyn had a special gift for bringing people together, filling her home with music from the jukebox, generous meals and her unforgettable homemade fudge. She cherished time spent with friends and family, found joy in creating handmade crafts and treasured the many journeys she shared with Len, especially to Acapulco.
