Evelyn O. Lyons, 89, died Tuesday October 12, 2021. She was born December 9, 1941 in Asheville, NC a daughter of the late Rev, Caney and Mildred (Freeman) Baldwin. Evelyn met her sweetheart Ray at a church revival service and married on March 17, 1948. They were married for 62 years before he passed in 2010.
She is survived by a brother Alvin (Pat) Baldwin of South Carolina, a son Thomas (Lynn) Lyons of Florida, and a daughter Sandra (Scott) Graby of Tennessee. She had 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be at Stowers Funeral Home on Monday November 8 from 5-7 pm. Burial will be Tuesday November 9 at 2 pm at Florida National Cemetery.
