Floyd was a proud Veteran of both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard, serving as a mechanic. He took those skills to the phosphate mines of Central Florida before his decades of service to GTE and the IBEW local chapter. He was a loyal member of the Masonic Lodge for 60+ years.
In 1958, Floyd married JoAnn Cecelia Holland. They are survived by their three daughters (Brenda Mulberry, Karen McKenzie, and Cheryl Varde), their five grandchildren, and their 3 great grandchildren.
Floyd loved being outdoors BASS fishing, watching NASCAR races and old westerns on TV.
We believe Floyd and JoAnn are now reunited in Heaven..
There will be a celebration of Floyd’s Life on Saturday June 14th at the Brandon Masonic Lodge starting at 10:30 am
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Floyd's memory may be made to Rotary's Camp Florida Inc., 1915 Camp Florida Road, Brandon, Florida 33510.
