Francisco Ruiz, 78, resided in Valrico, FL, has passed away July 15, 2021. Born on April 2, 1943, in Anasco, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Ambrosio Ruiz and Nicolasa Rivera. He was the youngest of four brothers and four sisters.
Francisco, known as Frankie by many, was a very loving and caring individual. He moved from Puerto Rico to the Bronx, New York, where he met and married his late wife, Faustina. His career included shipping clerk, plumbing, air-conditioning, and security supervisor. He was shy in his own way but could be very talkative when he got to know you. He always enjoyed watching old western movies; Cowboys and Indians and Christian Network were his favorite genres.
During his life he enjoyed dancing, family gatherings, and going to church. He loved life in general, especially sharing time with his family. His children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were his pride and joy.
He was a warrior throughout his entire life, and the Lord has gained another angel.
Francisco is survived by his stepson William Carrasquillo, stepdaughter Maria Carrasquillo, and four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend services to be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. Interment will be followed with Pastor Roberto Chaple.
