
BREWER, JR., Frank Osgood, 84, entered into rest March 19, 2011. In his youth, Frank enjoyed competitive boxing, taking this passion late into his adulthood by coaching youths in the Golden Gloves Program. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, serving in the Pacific Theater and surviving seven landings. Once returning, he received his degree in Psychology from the University of New Mexico. Frank retired from General Electric where he worked for three decades. After his retirement he worked at SunCoast Sailing in Clearwater Beach and was also a Merchant Marine. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy “Dot” Law. Frank is survived by his sons, Frank Osgood Brewer III, Matthew Charles Brewer and Thomas Craig Brewer; daughter, Colleen Brewer Holland; grandchildren, Bruce Holland, Mary Cole, Michelle Holland, Melissa Brewer, Nicole Brewer, Amanda Brewer, Tatianna Brewer and Matthew Brewer II; great-grandchildren, Geneva Holland, Bruce Holland III, Victoria Holland and Angela Brewer and an extended loving family and friends. Frank was very much loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held 1PM with visitation one hour prior Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home.
