Frank Medlin

MEDLIN, Frank C., 79, went home to be with the Lord August 26, 2011. Frank was born in Hamlet, NC. He served his country in the Navy from 1950-1954 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He moved to Florida in 1957 and resided in Tampa and Valrico. Frank retired from Winn-Dixie after 35 years of dedicated service. During his employment, he managed numerous stores in the Tampa Bay area, last serving as a grocery buyer in the corporate warehouse. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marie; their three children, Frank (Kandi), Carolyn (Bob), Tommy (Kristal); Grandkids Chad (Viony), Megan, Erika, Chelsey, Cal Ryan, and Carlee; sister, Nell Gay Rabon (Gene); and brother, Jack Medlin; along with an extended family and numerous friends who were blessed to have known him. Frank was a faithful Christian man, devoted husband, supportive father and fun-loving Papa. A visitation will be held 4:30-6:30 p.m., Monday (today), August 29, 2011, and a memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 30, 10a.m., at Stowers Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Garden of Memories.
