KORNMAN, Gene Elton, 82, of Tampa entered into rest April 15, 2016. Gene was born in Mobile, Al. he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and worked for Precon Corporation, Gainesville, Fla. For 38 years. He was an outdoors man and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cruising with his wife Lisa. The family would like to thank the staff at Bamboo Villas and LifePath Hospice Teal Team for their care. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie “Lisa” Kornman. Survivors include his stepson, Bruce Varnadoe (Alice); stepdaughter, Carol Varnadoe Walsh (Bruce); grandchildren, Cindy Fitzgerald (Bill), Kevin Varnadoe (Carrie); great-grandchildren, Scott Fitzgerald, Sarah Fitzgerald, Keaton Varnadoe, Camryn Varnadoe. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice in Gene’s memory.
