George Homer Dennis Sr.

George H. Dennis Sr. was born August 19, 1941, in Eufaula, Alabama. He preceded in death by his father and mother, John Lofton Dennis and Annie Lee Morris Dennis, brothers, Roscoe L. Dennis and John C. Dennis, sister, Dasie M. Thornton, and wife Nettie M. Dennis. He was called to rest on Wednesday Morning, July 8, 2020, at the age of 78.

George attended school in Eufaula, AL, from grade school through high school. George migrated to Tampa, FL, where he met and married his beloved wife of 58 years, Mrs. Nettie Mae Alice Dennis.

George worked various jobs in Hillsborough County until he finally found an interested in construction. He was employed and retired from Anheuser-Busch/ Busch Gardens. He enjoyed learning the ends and outs of the company. He eventuality became a super attenuated over construction. He had the most upon respect and lovable personality. He also enjoyed many hobbies, such as, working on cars and doing his daily deeds around the house and yard. But the main thing he loved the most was to be around family.

George was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memories: three son, George H. Dennis Jr. (Sherry), William J. Dennis (Bonnie), and Jimmy L. Porter, two daughters, Kathy D. Dennis and Sarah J. Porter; four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, a bother, Rufus (Mattie) Dennis; four sister, Pollie M. Reeves, Gloria J. (Willie) Johnson, Mary D. Pierre and Ruby Morrison; two sister-in-law: Mamie J. Dennis and Laila Dennis, and with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
