Schembri, George, 86, of Sun City Center passed away April 17, 2012. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 1, 1925 to the late Joseph and Frances Schembri. George was a great Husband, Father and Grandfather. He was very instrumental in the success of his children. George was preceded in death by his son, John and grandson, Michael. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Mary; sons, George Schembri, Jr. (Gina) and Joseph A. Schembri (Louise); daughter-in-law, Ann Schembri Lukasik; brother, Frank Schembri (Alice); grandchildren, Johnny, George III (Jennifer), Jason, and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Austin, Alicia, and Kayla. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 2-4 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 11 AM at Prince of Peace, Sun City Center. Donations can be sent in George’s name to LifePath Hospice or American Cancer Sociey.
