Gerard J. (Jerry) Steinhofer, 68, of Brandon, FL, loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away on Monday, January 28th, 2019, at his home. Gerard was born on July 3rd, 1950, in South Bend, IN, to John G. Steinhofer and Marie E. Steinhofer (née Kagel). He was preceded in death by a sister, Janice T. Steinhofer. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alana, daughter, Angel (Kevin) Shell and their two children, Nolan and Micah of Colorado Springs, CO, and son, Jerry (Katie) Steinhofer of Waltham, MA. Survivors also include two sisters, Rosemarie (David) Orvis of Mishawaka, IN and Regina (Paul) Rogalski of South Bend, IN; three brothers, John F. (Sharon) Steinhofer of Indianapolis, IN, James F. (Shirley) Steinhofer of South Bend, IN, and Joseph M. Steinhofer of South Bend, IN, and their families. A blessing and burial will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery on Friday, February 8th at 2pm, and military rites will be conducted. Memorial contributions may be made to the Air Force Aid Society.
