GRANADO, Gilbert Jr., 85, a longtime resident of Brandon, FL, passed away July 2, 2026. He was born in Tampa, FL, on August 14, 1940, the son of Angelina (Meana) and Gilbert Granado. Gilbert served in the United States Navy for 20 years, retiring as MMCS (E8). He later worked as a machinist for Tampa Ship and International Ship Repair. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Yolanda Granado; his children Luanda Smalley, Amanda Polin, Wanda (Scott) Moore, and Anthony (Kristy) Granado; grandchildren Matthew Leahy, Bradley Granado, Nicholas Granado, Caleb Smalley, Joseph (Ellie) Moore, David Smalley, Stephen (Joy) Smalley, and Jackson Granado; great grandchildren Neveah, Juliet and Elliot Gilbert; two sisters and many extended family members. Gilbert will always be remembered for his love of sports, colorful storytelling, and devotion to family.
