Gladys Louise Sullivan, 94 of Seffner, Florida passed away on August 12, 2022 in Tampa FL. She was born on October 10, 1927 in Plant City, Florida to the late Clifford Lois (Williams) and Gordon Caraway. Gladys was a lifelong resident of Hillsborough County and a 1945 graduate of Plant City High School.
Gladys retired from General Telephone and B & B Supermarkets where she worked in their business departments. Gladys was chosen to be in the first group of women supervisors by General Telephone Tampa. In her three decades at General Telephone, she made lifelong friends who shared her 90th birthday celebration with her.
Gladys enjoyed working but when it came time to retire, she cherished spending time with her grandson and crocheting.
Gladys was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church of Seffner and Lifelong member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husbands, William Stanton Sullivan Sr., and Carmen Caccamo and brother, Gordon Curtis Caraway.
Gladys was a devoted wife mother grandmother sister and friend.
She is survived by her son, William Stanton Sullivan Jr. (Grace); grandson, William Stanton Sullivan III; many extended family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Friday, August 26, 2022, Stowers Funeral Home 401 W. Brandon Blvd. Brandon, Florida 33511. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Stowers Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Seffner Cemetery.
